"The LA Fund's #ArtsMatter campaign reminds us that exposure to the arts is
essential for any truly meaningful education. The arts give us a deeper understanding of
our world and of ourselves. We must fight to keep them alive and well in our public schools.”
Grants HQ is a one-stop-shop for educators seeking additional resources for their classrooms and schools. It is free, open to LA County educators and offers a database of curated classroom and school grants, coaching from seasoned grant writers, workshops to guide educators in grant writing, and many other resources to help teachers secure grant funding. Since 2014, the LA Fund has hosted 13 workshops for over 600 educators and attracted over 2,100 users to the Grants HQ site.

Why Grants HQ?
As budgets for public education become more limited, educators seek professional development in grant writing to meet their instructional goals. In some cases educators seek funding for basic supplies and materials and, in other cases, theyneed resources to pilot an innovative new instructional model or program. Grants HQ helps educators find the right grants and build the skills needed to secure them so that they can continue to provide an excellent education to students.
While Grants HQ directly supports teachers, school leaders, and other school-based educators to secure grant funding for their classrooms and schools, the program ultimately impacts thousands of students and their school communities.
Since our launch in March 2014:
- We have hosted 13 workshops for over 600 educators.
- 99% of workshop attendees surveyed indicated that they would recommend attending workshop to a friend.
- Over $300,000 in grant funding secured by Grants HQ users and workshop attendees.
- 150 grants, curated for classroom and school projects, available for viewing every time a teacher logs in.
