The LA Fund created, incubated, and funded two school site pilot programs in blended learning (at John Muir Middle School and New World Open Academy) during the 2012-2013 academic year. Over 350 students and over a dozen teachers and school administrators were introduced to blended learning and received access to hardware through these research and development pilots.

Up to 70% of students across the nation are estimated to be negatively impacted by bullying in school. To address this community concern, the LA Fund kicked off our Anti-Bullying Campaign by hosting the nation’s largest anti-bullying symposium at the Nokia Theatre and implementing the first ever multi-site middle school anti-bullying program.
